ABOUT ME

My name is Kayla Gamble. I have been teaching primary Montessori at McLaurin Elementary in Florence, SC since 2015. My undergraduate degree is in Vocal Performance from Anderson University. I obtained my Montessori certification through the Palmetto Montessori Institute (MACTE) in Florence, SC. I am licensed through the South Carolina State Board of Education in Early Childhood with an emphasis in Montessori. I obtained my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Montessori from St. Catherine University in 2022.

There are many aspects that make me a leader in my school and in my community. I serve as the director of DSS for the primary students at the school I teach. I am also the team lead of our team of 16 primary teachers. Within my community, I am involved with my church's music and children's programs.

I have been married to my husband, Adam since 2013, and we have one son, Anderson. When I am not teaching I enjoy being artistic (painting, drawing, calligraphy), reading, spending time with family and friends, and being near any body of water. If I could do anything I would travel the world. I love learning about history and cultures.

I believe teaching is not a "job," but a calling. I am passionate about teaching kids academics, but most importantly, teaching them to become kind, well-rounded people of our world. I am so thankful I get the opportunity to be a part of your child's life this year. As a class, we will grow and learn from each other. Thank you for sharing your treasures with me.
